Driopidia - The Chora
Driopida - La Chora (1 hour and 40)
The architecture of Driopida, which is also our starting point, presents peculiar 2- floor stoned white houses (contrary to the Chora) have roofs with tiles. After about an hour's walk and passing through points where the path is full of tall grass, you get to Taxiarchi Church, decorated with frescoes and structural elements of the columns of an ancient temple. Shortly later we see the exceptional abandoned old trail due to the paved road that connects the two villages. Crossing the stone bridge, go up to Trifos. Then begins the downhill and crossing the plain and leaving on the left the churches of Agios Dimitrios and Agia Barbara, we approach the Chora, which is more touristic and competes with the beauty of Driopida.
