Monastery of Chrisopigi
By bus
Taking the bus and going up the path leading to the monastery, this path is striking in appearance. From the outside the building looks like a fortress with high walls surrounding it, a perfect example of fortification. Inside the courtyard of Chrissopigi are the monks' cells refurbished and maintained year after year. Enjoy the panoramic view from the overhanging edge of the walls with their buttresses at one time protecting the Monastery from pirates whose raids targeted the location many times in the past. Many tried to flee these attacks with the ropes over the walls, risking their lives. The Monastery celebrates its Saint's Day on the Friday after Easter each year.
On foot
To get there just take the path going to the castro, take the stairs that pass near the windmills on the hill that leads to Froudi, where stands the monastery of Chrissopigi.
Black Cave
Gaze at the famous Black Cave from above, one of the largest sea caves in the Cyclades.
