Santorini Wines & Wine Appellation
The vines are cultivated in low basket shaped crowns, close to the ground for protection from the strong winds. Coming off the sea, the nocturnal fog brings needed water to the vines during the hot summer nights and together with the refreshing northerly winds provide excellent growing conditions for the creation of the superb Santorini wines.

White Eggplant
Simply known as the 'melitzana' (eggplant). Whimsical in appearance, white in colour, this particular 'fruit' needs no watering. Sweet to taste, juicy and quite delicious, this eggplant is beloved by chefs since it does not absorb oil. Lovers of good cuisine should be aware that only in Santorini can one sample this unique delicacy.

Santorinian small tomato
Probably the most popular product of the Santorinian earth. Juicy, a bit more thick-skinned than the classical tomato but with fabulous aroma and taste

Fava Santorinis
Derived from a plant that bears the name "peas" and in accordance with archaeological finds in the excavations of Akrotiri, grown on the island for more than 3,500 years. The Santorini fava is characterized by its dark yellow color and its taste reminiscent of dried fruits. Protected Designation of Origin has been acquired by the Fava of Santorini, as recorded in the register of the European Union called "Fava Santorinis"
