The ancient town
After the abandonment of Filakopi in 1100 BC, the inhabitants established a new capital near the present day village of Tripiti with the name Milos.
The city's safe haven on the coast below was known as Klima, the ancient port. Thus at this (new) position for many years the Geometric, Classical, Hellenistic
Roman and Byzantine periods changed hands.
The itinerary of Ancient Milos includes sites of interest from all periods:
Polygon walls from the late Geometric period
The Black Wall
Roman Theatre
Baptismal Font in the shape of the cross
Ancient Stadium
Place where the Venus de Milo was discovered
East gate of the city

In a larger radius you can visit:
The little chapel of Prophet Elias
Roman Baths
The site of the mosaic at Tramithias
The Chamber of Secrets
Remains of Roman villas
Remains of Roman harbour
The little church of Agios Nikolaos
