Beaches
Kythnos is an island with countless bays, coves and beaches with crystal clear waters shaded by trees. Many beaches have tavernas where you can enjoy sea food and ouzo.
Beaches accessible by paved (asphalted) road:
Santa Irini (small beach in front of the spa)
Agios Dimitrios (huge sandy beach at the southernmost point of the island, in front of the village of the same name)
Agios Stefanos (sheltered beach on the east side of the island. Sand, pebbles and shaded by the trees).
Apokrousi (one of the longest sandy beaches of Kythnos, shaded by trees).
Episkopi (beautiful, sheltered bay with sand and many trees)
Zogkaki (the southernmost of the three beaches of Naoussa - Kouri - Zogkaki, which are connected by stairs)
Kalo Livadi (located in the south east part. Its jewel is the church of Panagia Kalolivadiotisas on the rock)
Lefkes (beach, near the village of the same name with sand, pebbles and shaded by trees)
Martinakia (Small beach, the first you meet leaving Mericha‘s beach going to Loutra).
Megali Ammos Kanalas (big sandy beach, also the meaning of its name). Located in the right atrium under the church of Panagia Kanala in the left atrium can swim in the beach Adonides)
Naoussa (beautiful beach on the eastern side in front of the church on the rock)
Schinari (sandy shaded beach, close to Loutra)
Flabouria (long beach with sand, pebbles and the church Panagia Flampouriani dominating).

Kolona (the number 1 beach and trademark of Kythnos)
Fikadia (a golden beach, surrounded by beautiful countryside near to the famous Kolona beach)
Stifo (beautiful, quiet beach on the way to Agios Dimitrios)
Simousi (quiet beach on the south-east part )
Potamia (sheltered beach, with plenty of shade on the way to Agios Ioannis)
Petroussa (a small beach at the southernmost point of the island to the east, accessible from Agios Dimitrios)
Gaidouromantra (big sandy beach with crystal waters)
Agios Sostis (northernmost point of the island with small pebbles, sand and deep green waters, considered one of the best beaches in the Cyclades)
