Snorkeling at Paleochori and Sarakiniko

You can enjoy snorkelling at Sarakiniko, which is perhaps the best location on Milos for exploration with mask and flippers, easy access with a unique coastline, lots of sea caves, a shipwreck, and many fish.
Paliochori
The location that really makes the difference is Paliochori, an exceptional spot for swimming, in particular just off the Red Beach in a westerly direction.
The sand is hot, the rocks are yellow and smell strongly of suphur and from the depths of the sea tiny bubbles reach the surface. The areas where the bubbles are rising up are innumerable, the phenomena is caused by volcanic action at a very low depth and is a pretty unusual sight. To the west of the bay there are caves which give the feeling of being in a natural sauna due to the intense geothermal activity.
