Its worth visiting the first beach of the island, known as Katergo. The 15 minute trip by traditional little wooden boats passes by the beauty spots of Latinaki, Pountaki and the cave of Georgitsi. On reaching Katergo you realise this is a perfect spot for snorkeling along the shoreline on either side of the beach. Boat trips take place daily and often from Karavostasi, from 11 am until a little past sun-set.
