Chora (the capital) has an absolutely charming atmosphere.
Accomodation
99% of hotel facilities are at the port and at Livadakia where there are many rooms for rent plus a camping site near the sea.
Local transport
The local bus service doesn’t provide access to many villages, its main route is Livadi – Chora. Taxis are few and far between especially during summer.
In general
Compared to other islands the quality of infrastructure in Serifos is considered medium to low, with some exceptions. The inhabitants, for some unknown reason, have as yet to invest heavily in the tourism sector.
Although there is a flourishing real estate market due to the island's close proximity to Athens meaning many beautiful spots on Serifos have been bought up with the odd illegal building to boot!
