At Karavostasi, the port, we find mooring for passenger ships, sailing boats and small yachts.
Helipad
The heliport has systems for both day and night approach.
The Capital
Chora (meaning capital) is located 3 km from the port.
Accomodation
Most of the hotels are located in Chora, followed by Karavostasi and Ano Meria.
The island has many small well maintained hotels. The hoteliers of Folegandros, in proportion to the size of the island, are considered the most dynamic of all in the Cyclades.
Local Bus Service
The main route during the summer is Chora-Karavostasi, then Chora-Agali-Ano Meria. The asphalt road network is very short, having a total length of about 9 kilometers. This is essentially a direct link from Chora to Ano Meria, branching of to Agali and then to Leivadi where there is a camping site. As for taxis, there is only one.

The island has now become a destination in the south-west Cyclades with an ever increasing demand, with few but good quality accommodations. Rooms for rent offer a lower service than the hotels (no air-conditioning for instance).
