Greek Islands

Briefly

The Ports -The Marina
At Psathi, the port, we have the docking of large ferries and the ferry connecting the island of Kimolos to Milos. All other craft
can be docked at the port entrance, on the left of the pier.
Between the two world wars and for many years after, the port of Kimolos was the small bay of Agios Minas, where today mainly small boats are accomodated.
Heliport
The helipad is located at Steda and is one of the safest in the Cyclades. The Heliport of Kimolos is licensed by the Ministry of Transport and is fully equipped.
Capital
Chorio (not Chora) is 1.5 km from the port (Psathi)
Hotels
On the island we find no hotels as such. There are rooms for rent, studios and some boarding houses with breakfast. The quality of service may be low (slightly less than Serifos) but the people are genuine and very hospitable making up for any omissions.
Local Bus Services
There is a bus with 20 seats, which does mainly the route Psathi - Chorio during the summer and its schedule is linked to the ferry. For the residents and visitors there is a taxi.

General
Kimolos is a small and charismatic island that until now has not known a great development of tourism, and remains one of the little lost paradises of the Aegean Sea.
